Our programs

Three ways in, one way of thinking.

Every Arc Innovate program is built around the same core idea: children learn best when they're given real problems to solve, real materials to shape, and real room to create.

Why design thinking matters

What your child gains from Experimental Arts & Design and Design Lab.

Experimental Arts & Design (Ages 4–6)

In these early years, we're building the foundation of a creative mind. Through sensory play and open-ended making, your child learns to:

  • Trust their instincts — experimenting without fear of "getting it wrong"
  • Develop fine motor skills — strengthening hand control through intentional making
  • Build confidence — celebrating what they create, however unconventional
  • Expand their vocabulary — learning to name colours, textures, shapes, and feelings

Design Lab (Ages 7–10)

As they grow, we move into structured problem-solving. Your child learns the full design process: observe, imagine, prototype, test, improve. They gain:

  • Critical thinking — spotting real problems and imagining solutions
  • Teamwork skills — collaborating, listening, building on others' ideas
  • Resilience — learning that "failure" is just feedback, not the end
  • Presentation confidence — pitching their ideas to peers and receiving constructive feedback

Design thinking isn't just about making things — it's a way of approaching challenges. Children who practice design thinking become more curious, more adaptable, and more capable of turning ideas into reality. These are the skills they'll carry into every area of their lives, from academics to careers to how they solve problems in their own futures.
