Ages 4–7: Introduce through sensory making, art, and simple "how might we fix this?" challenges. Curiosity-first, structure-light.
Ages 7–10: Structured design projects with clear stages. Building, prototyping, presenting their thinking to others.
Ages 10–14: Full design thinking process applied to real problems — including 3D printing, digital design, and entrepreneurial challenges.

- Replace "what did you learn today?" with "what problem did you try to solve today?" — This reframes their school experience around challenges rather than content.
- When they're frustrated by something, ask "how might we fix this?" — The "how might we" question is the core design thinking prompt. It signals that problems are solvable.
- Let them fail at small things without rescuing them immediately. — Resilience is built through the experience of trying again, not through being protected from difficulty.
